She’d gained a lot over the last few years
The weight had steadily been increasing
She’s heavier than she’s ever been
Her confidence and motivation is at her lowest
And she’s known for a while that something needed to happen
That something needed to change
But
The same old excuses would keep popping up
She’d keep giving herself the same old stories about why she can’t
And then just keep doing the same old things
Getting to the end of each day feeling exhausted and stressed
Cracking open a bottle of wine for a glass
To ‘unwind’
Only for it to turn into 3 or 4
Which was usually accompanied with snacking on crisps of chocolate
Going to bed later than planned and waking up feeling sluggish, overwhelmed, tired, and dreading the day ahead
Praying for the weekend to arrive where she’d just let lose with alcohol and food and make matters worse
Especially when Monday rolled around and the daunting thoughts of another week became real
This pattern has lead to her slowly but surely creeping up in weight and size
A ten became a twelve
A twelve became a fourteen
But she’s told herself she’s not going to be a size 16
She’s had enough
She’s sick of not feeling like she’s belongs in her own skin
Tired of buying bigger sizes and feeling lousy all the time
She knows moss the time to strike
But she also knows she can’t do it on her own
That without a proper plan it won’t work so there’s no point
She’s knows that without the right support and guidance it will feel like an insurmountable Hill
She’s looked for other places and gyms but found them too intimidating
