The blame game - Perceptions personal training

The blame game

The blame game

Hey

So, I was in my favourite  coffee shop yesterday

I love to go there on sundays to read and let my imagination soar a little about what is possible

and sometimes I will over hear a conversation, as you do sometimes

and today there was a lady next to me and I swear to god for 25 minutes, she just sat there and blamed everybody else

she blamed the doctor because he would not give her any medication for her thyroid because he said there was nothing wrong

she blamed weight watchers for the fact she has not lost any weight

she then blamed the gym for not letting her train at a time that was suitable for her despite the fact she signed up to train at a set time

then she went on to blame her husband for  her not getting any sleep

I will be honest here part of me wanted to go over and say ‘stop blaming everybody else for your mess’

but I actually more than that felt sorry for her

because the thing is

she blamed so many different people and so many different circumstances that it has become impossible for her to take responsibility

not just for where she is at right now

but also for what she has to get done in order to change her situation

see the moment you start blaming other people and things you pretty much relinquish responsibility which is very very dangerous if you ever genuinely want to change your situation

now that does not mean that it is never somebody else’s fault, that does not mean other people are not to blame, it does not mean unfortunate things don’t happen to us

but as soon as you get obsessed with blaming, because maybe you don’t yet want to realize that the only way to get over obstacles is to take responsibility for yourself 100% NO MATTER what has happened

and when you get stuck playing the blame game you are avoiding taking that responsibility

and automatically paralysing yourself from doing anything about it

because you think it is somebody elses fault

As I said I am not saying other people and circumstances don’t ever make our positions a lot harder

however playing the blame game and not dealing with it does not benefit you at all

consider this for a moment

Where in your life are you blaming somebody or something else for your problems? so much so that you are relinquishing responsibility

and preventing yourself from dealing with it?

see, It is not about who’s fault it is

but when you get stuck in that mindset of blaming

you are giving away your power to change your current reality

you are keeping yourself unhappy by blaming

all that you ever are in control of is your response, your reaction

So I want to test your reaction to this email right now

I want you to email me back NOW

and honestly tell me where you think you need to take more responsibility for your health and fitness………..
