Yes you read that headline correctly
apparently there is a firm in Hampshire in the UK that offers to airbrush school photos
which is just a shocking sign of the times we live in
like I don’t know whether to laugh or cry
It is all just becoming so ridiculous
and the pressure to be perfect is just being bombarded at us from an earlier and earlier age
and it is this constant image of perfection that is sent out by the fitness industry in particular that makes it so hard for the majority of women to get going
“how the hell am I supposed to live up to that?”
“I am just going to look like a total fool not knowing what to do while they are all taking selfies
I feel the image and perception that is sent out is actually more intimidating and off putting to the people who need the help the most
and it is awful that we live in a time that no matter what we do, It still does not seem good enough
that everytime you go online it is just a big reminder that you are not where you want to be
making it all feel like this big thing that can never be achieved
it has all become this giant fish bowl where it feels like every last thing is being scrutinized
where it is almost impossible to live up to certain standards
and it is why I really try my best to help the ‘ladies who lunge’
take back control and start feeling like themselves again
to get that confidence and self belief again to help take away the pressure and stress to conform to certain standards
to create an enviroment which is based around support, community, friendship and teamwork
and to try and put some fun and enjoyment back into rediscovering yourself, rather than having to feel this constant pressure
to get you back to a place where you are happy with you (no airbrushing required)
