Hey
So, I saw this program the other night called body bizarre
and this particular episode was called ‘ the baby with two heads’
and surprise surprise it had a story in it about a baby from India that was boen with with two heads
It also had a story in it about a 16 year old girl that looked like an old woman due to some rare hereditary condition
and these two stories really got me thinking about how fortunate we really are
we all go through stuff in our lives
and we all have hang ups, insecurities, fears and doubts
and we all have to go through tough times
some more so than others
but we are all fortunate enough to still be in a situation to do something about it
some people are not
some people got dealt a hand they can do very little about
which can make the things we get upset about seem so insignificant, even embarrassing when you compare them
and it seems even more embarrassing when you think of all the bullshit reasons we concoct for why we are not doing anything to change them
what i actually found most inspiring about that young girl was her attitude
can you imagine how tough it must feel for a 16 year old girl to look like she is in her 50’s
that has been bullied her whole life
that has never kissed a boy
and knowing there is nothing she can even do about it
and that it is only going to get worse
yet despite all of this
she had CHOSEN to remain positive
She CHOSE to do the best she could with her situation
She CHOSE not to sit around feeling sorry for herself
She CHOSE not to make excuses and let it beat it
I find it simply inspiring and thought provoking
and it really made me think to always consider these people the next time I feel like feeling sorry for myslelf or making up some excuse or catch myself say things like ‘it’s not fair’ or there is nothing I can do
We are all lucky enough nearly all of the time to be in a position where there is always something we can do to change a situation we are not happy about
unfortunately so often we CHOOSE to tell ourselves the opposite
it may be hard, it may be daunting, but we should be grateful that we can still do something and act accordingly
but most important of all is we can always CHOOSE our attitude, we can always CHOOSE our response and reaction, whether we like to admit it or not
It provoked me to consider what am I going to do to change things I am not happy about rather than hide behind excuses
It got me thinking about how I can improve my attitude towards obstacles in my path rather than say it is not my fault, or that it is too hard or there is nothing I can do
Where could you make a change where maybe you have allowed an excuse to hold you back??????????

PS- look you may have missed out on the 14 day taster but like I said we are still lucky enough to be able to do something about our situation, so your chance at the taster may be gone for now but if you are ready to invest in yourself and become a fitter, happier, healthier, more confident version of yourself and joing the ‘ladies who lunge’ just click the link below
