"I don’t have any motivation"
Is one of the most common things I hear from women just like you.
And I totally understand that feeling.
There’s a number of reasons for it too, such as:
Confidence being low - it’s hard to be motivated when that’s the case.
Thinking of how hard change will be (kinda off putting right)
Fear of failing - thinking of all the times you’ve failed before. Makes you feel like it’s not gonna be any different this time. So why bother.
They’d be the 3 main ones.
And they all feed into each other.
Robbing you of your motivation to get started.
Making it very hard to muster up the will to get going.
And I really used to struggle with motivation ALL the time too.
Mainly because of those three things.
Low confidence
Fear of failing
Daunted by the effort
But I learned a way to trick my brain into doing things I needed to...
... even when I didn’t have the motivation.
(Which I’m about to share with you)
It worked so well that it’s my go to tactic anytime Motivation is low.
It’s a very simple concept.
The crazy thing is it takes just a slight shift in how you think about motivation.
Which can have a dramatic impact on how much motivation you then have.
Normally we only commit to action if we feel a certain level of motivation.
And that only happens when we feel emotional inspiration.
(Which we spend a lot of time waiting around for)
It looks something like this...
Inspiration —> motivation —> action
Now it’s very hard to feel that inspiration when we are struggling with confidence.
Not feeling great about ourselves and are afraid of failing.
Which causes a massive problem.
Because we very rarely end up with that feeling of inspiration.
So we do fuck all.
But if we change how we view motivation to this:
Action —> inspiration —> motivation
And really buy into that idea that it’s the doing something that leads to the motivation and not the other way around.
It’s completely game changing.
And you can achieve it with the "do something principle"
The idea being that if you lack motivation to make important changes in your life..
.. then do something, anything really.
And then harness the energy and momentum for that action as a way to begin motivating yoursejf.
And it doesn’t have to be some dramatic, earth moving action.
Just pick the easiest thing for you to get started with.
And start doing it and then keep doing it.
And use the energy and momentum from doing that action (even though you didn’t feel like it)
To inspire further and bigger action.
It goes a bit like this in your brain..
"Okay I did that, I guess I can do more"
Like I said
It’s very simple.
But highly effective.
And I want you to at least try and use it today.
Not tomorrow.
Not when you feel like it. (Remember what I just told you)
But today.
Cause if you’re serious about changing how you look and feel but have been lacking the motivation to do something.
Then the do something principle is exactly what you need.
Maybe that something you do can be replying to this email and telling what the biggest problem you have with losing weight is??
At least then you’ve actually done something, right?
Looking forward to seeing your name in my inbox
