Hey
Did you see it?
the video by the makeup artist showing the pressure women encounter on social media everyday
It is called ‘am i pretty yet?’
and i feel it is a very accurate reflection of how things are these days
and it’s really really tough as we now live in a world that has become obsessed by the wrong things
and we are bombarded non stop by things that just make us feel worse about ourselves
that make us feel like were not good enough
things that make us feel like no matter what we do were not good enough or don’t measure up
constantly feeling like we can’t live up to certain standards
and it really doesn’t help when we are already coming from a place where…
we feel self conscious about our appearance
we struggle with our confidence
and don’t feel comfortable in our own skin
I can speak from personal experience
as for a long time i really did not feel good enough
i had zero confidence and self belief
and i was always comparing myself to others and always ended up thinking i was less
i genuinely did not feel good enough
infact at times i felt i was useless, worthless and even a waste of space
but working on changing how i felt about myself deep down
and working on it everyday
the best decision i ever made
It’s not easy
and you do have to work on it consistently
but would you rather work at being happy, properly happy
or
just do nothing and stay the same
and all this is why i am determined and committed to helping all my girls
change how they feel about themselves inside
because you can change all you want on the outside
but if you are not happy with you as you
you will never appreciate those changes
and you will be still stuck just seeing your flaws when you look in the mirror
and not feeling good enough is actually one of the biggest reasons most people don’t get lasting results (but thats a different email)
we just end up on this never ending journey of
” I’ll be happy when…”
which just leaves you permanently unhappy
the next time you are looking at something online or social media or in a magazine
ask yourself
“does looking at this make me feel better or worse about myself?”
If the answer is worse..
perhaps we need to spend less time looking at it.
