We ALL share this really terrible habit.
And this habit causes us more PAIN and SUFFERING than we realise.
The habit?
Putting things off!!
We all do it.
And we do it a lot.
We do it on little things.
We do it on big things.
Regardless of which it is... it costs us a lot.
Because when we put things off, we do a few things.
We keep ourselves stuck and in pain.
We allow our situation to get worse.
We avoid facing our problems or taking responsibility.
We teach ourselves it’s ok to do this.
We stop ourselves from being happy.
Despite all this.
We constantly put things off.
And when it comes to losing weight, toning up , And eating better.
Most people are masters at putting it off.
How long have you been on this email list, opening my emails, agreeing with what I say sometimes, getting triggered by it on other times.
Thinking you should join, knowing you should join, contemplating joining.
But ultimately always ending up doing the same thing.
Putting it off.
Whether you tell yourself...
You don’t have the time.
I’ll just fail so what’s the point.
Now is not the right time.
I’m too old.
It’s different for me.
I’m too unfit.
And I get it, I really do.
I was a master of bullshitting myself for a VERY long time.
And just between me and you.
I still put shit off all the time.
Because doing stuff that scares us is... well... scary.
It’s uncomfortable.
And it’s daunting.
But that’s a good thing.
Because it means it matters.
And here’s a trick for you.
Think of how GOOD you’re gonna feel about yourself after you do it.
Just think of that.
How GREAT you’ll feel for having done the thing you’ve been putting off for ages.
It’s one of my favorite things to remind myself of when I’m feeling a lot of resistance and I can hear myself coming up with excuses.
I ask this question?
What action here is going to make me feel better about myself?
And then that helps me to FORCE myself to do that thing.
Because I know it’s going to make me feel good.
And if you’re anything like the mums I help.
Then one of your primary goals is to feel good about yourself.
So, let me ask you this...
