The 9 villains of weight loss for mums (and a simple solution to each)

You’re in for a treat today.

Because I’m going to share with you my 9 villains of weight loss for mums.

And my simple solutions for each.

So let’s get this show on the road. 

These are in no particular order. 

Villain #1 - Not accounting for all your food. This is so important, EVERYTHING counts.

Solution - pay attention to everything you eat, account for everything and try tracking your food.

I’ve got a really unique and simple solution I use with my members in shape up. 

Villain #2 - The weekends. The biggest problem with the weekends is that most people are out of routine and go into weekend mode.

Solution - plan for them better by asking 3 questions. Where am I going to be? What will I be doing? Where is my food coming from? 

Villain #3 - Environment. One of the biggest problems most face is not themselves but their environment. They want to change their ways but don’t change their environment. This guarantees you’ll fail.

Solution- ask yourself this... what’s the biggest things holding me back in my environment? And what changes can I make to make it easier for me to succeed and harder for me to fuck up?

Villain # 4 - Food Mindset. Viewing food as good or bad, the all or nothing approach, being in diet mode. Are all recipes for failure. It’s not your fault, it’s how you’ve been conditioned.

Solution- view food as being just food, drip the food rules, have guidelines instead, everything can be included. See it as you making better choices and that some foods are better more often and some less often, but nothing is fully banned.

Villain # 5 - Stress/tiredness. Stress and tiredness leads to bad choices and feeling terrible, and all mums are stressed and tired.

Solution - you time. You have to prioritize time for when you are doing something just for you. When you do this you relax, feel better, and become happier, which means you can take better care of your family too. my workouts are me time for my mums.

Villain #6 -Busyness. You’re busy, but most people are busy with the same stuff every week. Which means there’s a simple solution...

Solution- You need to plan better. 

Villain # 7 - Lack of confidence/motivation. This is huge, lacking confidence and motivation is killing most mums hopes of permanent changes. There is a really easy and effective solution I use with all my mums.

Solution - small wins. We work hard to give ourselves little victories each week and acknowledge them. This builds confidence, motivation, and momentum. You can start today by writing out your daily wins or giving yourself a small task to do, then acknowledge it when you do it, then repeat.

Villain #8 - No roadmap. Sometimes the goal can seem too far away. Sometimes you’re motivated to change but because you don’t know what to do first you can’t get started. 

You have to have clarity, clear steps, and a clear direction to have that confidence and motivation to do it.

Solution - make a plan, turn it into small steps to move the goal closer and seem more achievable. The easiest way to do this is with a proven system that guides you the whole way to your goal, just like the one I use in shape up.

Villain #9 - No support. If you’ve read down this far, then really pay attention.

As it’s the most important.

Not having proper support is the biggest reason for failing.

Nobody to help when your stuck.

Nobody to help when you go off track.

Nobody to make it easier for you.

Nobody to help when your motivation is low.

This is why the right support is key.

And it’s even better when it’s with a group of like minded people.

You see, when you’re in an enviroment with people just like you who are all moving in the same direction, then your goal seems more achievable.

Because you see people who are just like you doing what you want to do.

Which builds your confidence in your ability to do it.

You can learn from them, get help from them, Feel inspired by them, all of which means that you will succeed.
