now back to me wonderful story

I was having a conversation with this lady and she said ‘I don’t need the gym to lose weight, I just need to walk and eat healthier and I can lose it’

to which I replied ‘that is true, you can’

which threw her a bit, I think she was expecting me to get all hurt and defensive and start trying to show how awesome the gym is

but the next bit is what really caught her out, because I then said

‘but why havent you done it yet?’

The silence said it all

you see, the reality is that we can all start losing weight and getting fitter, healthier and happier by walking and eating better

and walking is one of my top recommendations for my ladies who lunge to get some extra activity in but also to help relax, leisure walking and fresh air are brilliant for stress

however there is something deeper going on here

most of us know how to eat better and live healthier and lose some weight

and as i said walking can be a great way to do that

but as I said to that lady and I will now ask you, why havent you done it yet?

There are a whole host of reasons, one of the biggest ones is FEAR

but what I will talk about today is what walking lacks

there is no accountability

there is no motivation

there is no support

there is no encouragement

these is no committment

these are some of the biggest reasons most people fail in attempts to do it alone

they are the reason that lady, says she knows what to do but still has not done anything about it yet

they are the reason being part of shape up and the ladies who lunge is so special

because it has all these things in abundance so you always know there is someone who has your back

One of my favourite parts of it has been watching how the girls have formed a special bond and friendship, its really cool

but that adds such a bigger level of accountability and motivation to it

because you are a team, you don’t want to let the other girls down and they won’t let you down either

and on the days when you really don’t feel like it

because they will happen

that is when it kicks in

because when you are doing it alone

it is all too easy to say fuck it, or ill do it tomorrow instead

but when you are part of a team like the ladies who lunge have

It gets you through the days when you usually wouldn’t bother or would just give up

so you don’t need me and the girls to lose weight

but if you are the kind of woman who wants to be lighter, more energetic, happier, healthier, feel great about themselves and be able to keep it like that permanently

then being part of shape up is what you need
